- From Izabela Berengut an update on her husband, Vee's, recuperation from brain surgery, and the "2VIE- Live Silent Auction & Exhibit Benefit" to raise funds for his rehabilitation.

"…Please feel free to invite everyone you think may be interested, as we have cool services for auction, gorgeous art and fun raffle prizes to win, so it will be a fun night! :) And to RSVP, please go to the facebook link, http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=102211449868659 (you can also invite guests through it if you wish :))

Vee had his doctors appointment last week and he is progressing very well (I could see his face getting better every day in the past 2 weeks, but hearing that he is doing well from both doctors, was a great relief) So, his facial paralysis is almost back to the post operative state and he can slowly start practicing driving and start going on the computer (until he gets tired) - he just needs to listen to his body :) In fact, if you would see him in person, you wouldn't even know that he had a brain surgery :) Except that he still gets tired pretty fast, but that should get better with time - hopefully in next six moths :)

We both are very appreciative Tony of your prayers and your support! Vee is the best proof that the prayers are being answered!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are very grateful!!!!!

Talk to you soon!

XOXOXO,
Izabela"

From Soren Petersen, PhD, Design Innovator- "Hi Tony, …Thanks for including a short announcement about the soft launch of my book. Below is a sample of what I had imagined:
Greetings, - My thanks to everyone for sharing your ideas and experiences with me for my new book 'Profit from Design, - leveraging design in business.' There will be a soft launch of the book for friends, contributors and fellow designers Wednesday June 15 in the evening, please see: http://www.ingomar.net/profitfromdesign.html

If you order and enjoy the book, please take a moment to share a couple of lines about what you think of its message. Together we could make a difference and finally move every-day design into the boardroom.

Yours sincerely,

Soren"

- From Tony Luna-
Make sure you take in the incredible exhibit of the artwork by John Frame at the Huntington Library in Pasadena. Due to increased demand the exhibit, "Three Fragments of a Lost Tale - Sculpture and Story by John Frame" has been extended one week to June 27.

Here is the link to the exhibit. The link includes a must-see video of John Frame creating his art. http://www.huntington.org/huntingtonlibrary_02.aspx?id=8690

(A serendipity story)- I had a chance to meet with Mr. Frame on Sunday, June 12 and to give him an antique scientific instrument I had purchased at a swap meet many years ago and was going to throw away. But, after experiencing his powerful artwork about a month ago it occurred to me that he could put it to good use. And after emailing him that I wanted to give him the microscope he responded that he would accept it. When I took the instrument out of the bag to show it to him his eyes lit up and he said he knew exactly how he could use it in one of his upcoming art pieces. I was thrilled as I handed over the device to him. Above is a photo which my wife, Paula, shot of the exchange. I can hardly wait to see how he is going to give it new life!

That's it for now.

Keep sending in your informative and motivating emails. I may have to edit them in the interest of space but I will do my best to keep their integrity. Emails and notices are usually posted in the order they are received. Tony Luna Creative-Updates are produced approximately twice a month so please provide enough lead time when submitting emails so they can be posted in a timely fashion.

Keep creating wonderful art and, as always, stay in touch!

Best.

Tony
