Tony Luna Creative- Update- 5-13-11

- A "Vee Vitanza Medical Fund" update has been posted to a GiveForward Page you subscribed to.
"Vee is recovering slowly but surely :) "Hi All! Vee just wanted to say Thank you for your warm thoughts and wishes! He is doing well, recovering slowly but surely :) He wants you to know that it means a lot to him to have such wonderful friends and to know so many people that care and make the difference. For those of you that were asking about visits, he wishes he could see you all soon, but for now, doctors ordered lots of rest for fast recovery. Thanks again for all your messages, and hugs to you all, from both of us!

- From Tamar Levine, Photographer- "Hello! I hope all is well with you and wanted to share a bit of what I have been up to! In April I participated in three group photo shows as a part of MOPLA (The Month of Photography in LA). I was especially happy to debut photos from my "Marilyn" photo series… (click here to see) http://www.tamarlevine.com/photoblog/2011/05/marilyn/

I also had a photo in the Smashbox/MOPLA group show.

Additionally, as many of you know, I founded a photo collective called "This is a Photo Blog." As a part of MOPLA, I organized our first group show. If you are in LA, it will be up for another two weeks, by appointment…

I also have this project going on- if you know of anyone who might be interested in it please feel free to send along. http://www.indiegogo.com/My-Grandmother

Lastly, I am so excited to have photographed Carrie Parry's amazing Fall clothing line, which was recently featured in Marie Claire.

As always, new work can be found on my website: http://www.tamarlevine.com

I hope you are having a wonderful May so far and thanks so much in advance for taking a look!

All the best,

Tamar"

From Jeanette Paredes, Photographer, 100 mile ride for charity

"Hello All!! I am donating my athletic ability :) to help under privileged children reach their full potential by attending a music camp during the summer!

A wonderful cause that the owner of Delicious Vinyl has been passionate about for many years, and has given me a team of my own this year!!
We will be peddling 100 miles on the pier (stationary bikes), so yes all are welcome to come and watch me try to survive 20 to 30 miles of riding in Santa Monica.
Encouragement and laughing always allowed but no poking, I could fall off, as you all know I am incredibly clumsy.
More IMPORTANTLY PLEASE do not be shy!
$5.00 to $100, all donations are welcomed there is a link below to guided up through the process.

http://www.active.com/donate/pedalonthepier/deliciousvinyl

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and for the donations. In a time where music is being ripped from the schools it is only (through) opportunities like this that the children have a chance to explore their imagination and ingenuity through music!!

Cheers!!
Jeanette"
