- January 9, 2012- "The Art and Craft of the Pitch," 7:00-8:00 P.M. This presentation was specifically designed for members of new School of Media, Culture, and Design at Woodbury University. It began with a short lecture on a structure of the narrative, how a pitch differs from a longer format professional presentation, the active elements of a short form, or "elevator pitch," and an exercise with the students. Thanks to Bruce Cook, PhD, Department of Filmmaking at the School of Media, Culture, and Design, Woodbury University for making this event possible. - December 15, 2011- "SchmoozeFest" Fall 2011- From 6:30-9:30 P. M., Art Center at Night-Public Programs, Pasadena; at Art Center's South Campus. This is a networking event for past attendees of classes, lectures and workshops, and open to all interested creative professionals where the participants have a chance to share their latest work and meet like-minded individuals.

- August 24, 2011- "Exploring Creative Job Opportunities During Challenging Times," 3:30-5:30 P.M. This lecture will be for members of The Actors Fund, a national human services provided by SAG and AFTRA which "...helps professionals in the performing arts and entertainment in times of need, crisis or transition." The lecture will focus on some of the techniques Tony Luna utilizes to help mid-career professionals to rediscover new job opportunities and to lead more meaningful lives. Thanks to Joanne Webb, Career Counselor, for arranging for this entertaining and enlightening presentation. The Actors Fund is located at 5757 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite #400, Los Angeles, CA.

- March 28, 2011- "Leadership Through Inspiration," 7:00-8:30 P. M. The third in a series of leadership workshops for the ministry leaders of The Catholic Community of Saint Finbar's Church, Burbank, California. Mr. Luna will encourage the participants to examine the qualities common to good leaders, investigate their own roles, and define ways to be more effective leaders.

- March 7, 2011- "Presentation Techniques," 7:00-9:00 P. M. final presentations byAdvertising Department students at the Art Center College of Design. Student presentations of advertising campaigns they created reviewed by a panel of advertising, marketing, and presentation professionals, with Tony Luna as Instructor.

- December 10, 2010- The Fourth Annual International Conference on Positive Aging, presented by Fielding Graduate University. This year's theme is "Exploring Positive Aging: Designing Practice and Advancing Knowledge" and Tony Luna will be delivering a lecture titled, "Rediscovering Your Passion: The First Step to Crafting Your Next Career" from 3:30-4:30 P.M., at the California Endowment, Center for Nonprofit Management, 1000 N. - December 16, 2010- SchmoozeFest, Fall 2010, 6:30-9:30 P. M., Art Center at Night-Public Programs, Pasadena; A networking event for past attendees of classes, lectures and workshops, and open to all interested creative professionals.

- October 12, 2010- Caltech Y, Life Skills Lecture Series. A one hour luncheon lecture on "The Principles of Presentation." The focus of this lecture is to provide a structure to develop a comprehensive and compelling presentation. The presentation was especially designed for all levels of the Caltech academic community and hosted by the Caltech Y. Special thanks to Michelle Liang, Caltech ExComm Vice President, and Greg Fletcher, Student Activities and Community Service Director.

- July 15, 2010- ICON 6- The Illustration Conference, Pasadena, California. A two hour lecture/workshop, "Rediscovering Your Passion-an Outline for Career Reinvention." ICON is a non-profit organization, and offers the only global conference for illustrators and the graphic arts industry. This year it will be held July 14-17 at the Langham Hotel, 1401 South Oak Knoll Avenue, in Pasadena, California.

- August 23 and August 30, 2010- St. Finbar's Catholic Church, Burbank, California. "Leadership Workshop-Part One, Perfecting Your Message." These two workshops centered on helping selected members of the parish outreach committees to gain confidence by building their communication skills and empowering them to spread the spirit of their ministries.

- August 26, 2010- SchmoozeFest, Summer 2010, 6:30-9:30 P. M., Art Center at Night-Public Programs, 950 South Raymond Street, Pasadena. A networking event for past attendees to classes, lectures and workshops and open to all interested creative professionals.

- November 2, 2009- California Institute of Technology-Caltech Y, Lecture, "The Principles of Presentation" delivered to undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral students on the history of the construction of the narrative, a comprehensive critiquing methodology for determining the effectiveness of a presentation, and presentation techniques. Thanks to Michelle Liang, Caltech student and Greg Fletcher, Student Activities and Community Service Director.

- October 22-27, 2009- ANIF (National Association of Photographers) Fiftieth Anniversary Conference in Lisbon, Portugal. Lecture topic, "Networking and Promoting Your Career to the Next Level: for Photographers." Saturday, October 24, an all day lecture with Q&A session, and Sunday, October 25 a morning lecture and meetings with Portugal's wonderful photographic community were presented. Thanks to Carlos Vilas, President of ANIF and liaison Paulo Roberto, photographer.

Monday, October 26, a lecture titled, "The Love of Photography as a Creative Fulfillment" was given to the members of Paulo Roberto's photography class at the Caixa Geral de Depositos. Thanks to all the incredible people of the Portuguese photographic community and special appreciation to Paulo Roberto, professional photographer and dear friend.

- September 24, 2009- The Actors Fund (SAG/AFTRA), "Networking Your Way to the Next Level of Your Career," 10:00 am to noon, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees - Headquarters, Burbank, California. Thanks to The Actors Fund Director, Joanne Webb.

Taking Your Career to the Next Level (General description)

In Taking Your Career to the Next Level, Creative Consultant Tony Luna covers issues such as taking stock of creative assets, creating a realistic plan for change, implementing your plan, and validating your evolution so you can move on to the next level. Tony believes that while there is no secret potion for success, there are proven ways for to get out of a rut to a more fulfilling career. And he should know: over the years he has helped a significant number of individuals and businesses reinvigorate themselves and reach new heights.

In his presentation Tony explores the common issues that hold creative entrepreneurs back from making the next career move, and shares how others in similar situations have turned their businesses around while digging deeper into their creativity.
